SCARECROW COMPOSED AND LAUNCHED ‘PEACE ANTHEM’ FOR COLORS AND EQUAL RIGHTS MUSIC PROJECT

Colors and Equal Rights Music Project spread a message of goodwill and harmony with the launch of Kabootar – A Peace Anthem on India’s 67th Republic Day in 2016. It reached out to over 13 million followers and subscribers.

As a brand, Colors had always shown the many shades of human emotions, feelings, and sentiments. But as the world moved ahead to chase personal goals and ambitions, peace became something people had lost touch with. India had always stood for global harmony and brotherhood, which made the 67th Republic Day the right occasion to launch Kabootar – A Peace Anthem. Colors was proud to partner with the Equal Rights Music Project for this initiative and hoped the anthem would inspire the nation to come together for peace.

The anthem was written by Manish Bhatt, Founder Director of Scarecrow Communications, and composed by Eddie T Avil. The song used the kabootar (dove) as a symbol of peace. The video, beautifully shot by Riju Samanta, was a reminder of both the diversity and the unity of India.

French President Francois Hollande was the Chief Guest. The anthem shared the message that not just Paris or Pathankot, but the whole world needed peace. And that it was time to act.

The anthem imagined a world where everyone was equal, and free from war, poverty, and terrorism. It carried an important message for the world through music.

The screenplay was written by Manish Bhatt along with Lalit Sakurkar and directed by Beeswaranjan Pradhan. Singers Jigardan Gadhvi and Kunal Bhadra gave their voices to the anthem. The music was played by Omkar Patil, Vijay Jadhav, Vaibhav Panch, and Tapas Ray. The sound was engineered by Kunal Dabholkar.
